SEAC W-22, Long Blades for Freediving with Next-Generation Blades

The blade material of the W-22: thanks to the FRC™ technology from Seac, this is a lightweight and responsive technopolymer, offering performance similar to that of carbon fibre composites, while eliminating the issue of material fragility. The composite used is so elastic and has such high shape memory that if we observe the blade after rolling it up, once released, it will return to its original shape without any permanent structural deformation that could compromise performance.
The geometry of the W-22 fin: the blade of the SEAC W-22 fins is angled at 22°. This angle helps the fin adapt to the natural position of the ankle. The small stabilising fins located at the tip of the blade, at the point of strongest water flow, prevent the fin from slipping sideways without hindering the proper flexing of the technopolymer blade.
The material of the W-22 foot pocket: the SEAC W-22 fins feature the well-known foot pocket from the Motus series, recognised for its comfort even during long sessions at sea. The foot pocket is made from two different materials, a firmer one on the sole for stability and to avoid foot fatigue, and a softer one on the shaft for maximum comfort during prolonged use.
The geometry of the W-22 foot pocket: the foot pocket is optimised for blades angled at 22° and, in a few steps, allows for easy removal of the blade.
