SEAC BM-30 - THE LAUNCH OF FRC™ TECHNOLOGY ON SEACSUB'S LATEST MADE IN ITALY FIN

With the new SEAC BM-30 fins, Seacsub is introducing the new FRC™ - Fully Responsive Compound technology.

It all started with the quest for a polymer blend that would allow the company from San Colombano Certenoli to produce fins with performance similar to those made from carbon and glass fiber, while eliminating the well-known fragility issues of these composites.

They created a composite with new mechanical properties that Seacsub's design and production experience has turned into a new technology dedicated to creating blades for even higher-performing fins.

The FRC™ - Fully Responsive Compound technology has thus met all of Seacsub's production needs:

  • Negative fins and thinner blades compared to those previously made from technopolymer, thanks to the fluidity and specific weight of the material.
  • The product design takes advantage of the mechanical properties of the composite for an elastic response similar to that of carbon and glass fiber.
  • No risk of breakage or permanent deformation thanks to the high resilience and high tensile strength of the composite, even at low temperatures.
  • Durability and high elastic modulus allow for full use of the typical geometry of carbon and glass fiber blades without the need for any reinforcement or protective ribs.
  • Reduced carbon footprint compared to common technopolymers used in the industry and a complete absence of toxic elements.

The uniqueness of the SEAC BM-30 fins lies in this technology that combines innovative materials with hydrodynamic and ergonomic geometries.

The composite used is so elastic and has such a high memory effect that - in an absurd demonstration - if we observed the blade after rolling it up, once released, it would still return to its original geometry, without any permanent structural deformation that could compromise its performance.

Like the successful Motus series, the boot with short ribs of the BM-30 is made up of two different materials: a stiffer one on the sole for stability and a softer one on the shaft for maximum comfort during extended use.

The blade of the SEAC BM-30 fins is angled at 30° to facilitate both surface swimming and follow the natural angle of the ankles when submerged. The small stabilizing wings placed at the tip of the blade at the point of maximum water flow prevent lateral slippage of the blade without compromising its correct flexing.
